Allegion's Schlage aptiQ platform spans both 125 kHz XceedID proximity credentials (standard 26/37-bit Wiegand, fully replaceable) and 13.56 MHz MIFARE DESFire EV1 smart cards with AES-128 encryption (proprietary, not supplyable by third parties). American Key Cards covers the 125 kHz XceedID prox installations, providing cost-effective clamshell and ISO card replacements for buildings whose aptiQ readers operate in proximity mode.
